The faun was an imaginary creature, like a small man, with a goat’s back legs, a tail, ears, and horns. There were three or four faun fountains in the open-air courtyards/spaces of the Science and Education Building. Two of the patios were along El Prado: one or two fauns in the large central courtyard, one in the patio at the corner of the Plaza de Panama and El Prado. Another faun was at the northeast corner of the building.
