Description: 1913 photo of a Southern Pacific Railway steam locomotive delivering pipes to San Diego with 'California Exposition' painted on the pipes. Construction began in 1911 for the Panama California Exposition. By January 1914, they had laid 20 miles of iron pipe, 10 miles of storm drain, and about 10 miles of sewer connections.
